More Puffs

Huilee brought back more puffs today.. I'm so fat.. :(
Ava ate so much of the pastries.. look at her little nose.. hahaha

My Polka Dots Baby

Went to get a massage again today at Tao day spa. OOOOHHHHH felt sooooo good!!!!
I wanted a Jamu Balinese Massage, but she gave me a wrong one, she gave me the hot oil aromatherapy massage instead. It didn't matter b/c it was sooooooooooo good!!!! hahahahaha
I'll go back for the Jamu Balinese Massage.. definitely!!

Ava wore her new dress today. She loves it so much.. :)
She was twirling around and playing with her polka dots light jacket.

Huilee brought home CROISSANT today!! yeay!! my favourite!!..
And she made chocolate croissant also. I ate 2!!! (Before she came home, I also ate 4 of her german puffs and also the leftover BBQ eel fried rice I cooked for lunch.. I'm so fat!!!!)

As I'm writing this blog, Colin is rolling around in bed with me (not sleeping obviously). And, I realized that he's crawling to get close to me.. OMG!!!
He was near my legs earlier, then crept up close to my thighs, then my waist, now he's lying beside me, patting my arms while chewing his lower lips and making noises.. hahahahaha.. he's the cutest!!!! And, he got a hold of my remote and changed my channel.. How smart is that???!!! hahahahahahaha

Delivery Lady

Went delivering my toys today. I felt like Mrs. Santa. Hahahaha.
It was really fun. Candy was my first stop and I gave her Karen's also. Then, I went to London Drugs to do some shopping. Afterwards, Christy's. I tried Kristina's but she was not home.

I went to Safeway and got myself a spinach dip and a french bread. I had been wanting to eat this for awhile. Finally had it. Yummy!!!!

I bought that hand held swifter from London Drugs, and I went swifter-happy for a hour or so, just swiftering away on every nook and cranny that I can find. I had to get rid of all these dust before my mom in law gets here. hahahahahaha...

Now, looking around my bedroom, I still have tons to do. Dang it!!!

Huilee made more pastries today. It's the "german puffs" she said. I think they are a bit oily. She said it's because the dough wrapped the butter instead of the butter wrapping the dough(???) I have no idea what that means. I ate 5. I'm going to gain 5 lbs just b/c of that. Ugghhhh.....

After 5 1/2 years.....

We're finally back into USA.. hahahahahaha..
We haven't been in the US for almost 5 1/2 years, ever since we moved here. It's been a hassle with getting the visa and stuff, so we decided not to go. But, today we went with Sharon, Steven and Annabelle. We followed their car and went to the premium outlet.

We went into the duty free shop to get some drinks but when we're going to exit, Steven hit a parked car. So, they had to exchange insurance info before exiting.

Both Simon and I felt so weird when we were finally in the US land. It's like a dejavu, but can't really describe it in words.

Ok, the whole time that we're in the car, Mr. Colin cried. Even Ava was starting to lose her mind from Colin's cry. He only slept for a little bit before we arrived at the outlet. We had McD for lunch b/c Ava saw that big red M and asked for "fries!! fries!! fries!!".

OMG, I'm in an outlet!!!! Time to let loose and shop.. hahahaha
I bought a pair of heels, Ava also chose her pink nike shoes. Then, we hit the baby stores. We went to Carters, Osh Kosh, and Gymboree. Then, we went into Kate Spade. I wanted to buy a bag, but can't decide on which one. Then, we went to Coach and I bought some there.. hahahahaha.. What a rush!!! Simon bought a pair of pants and shirt at J Crew. Ava bought the most stuff, and poor Colin. He only bought some.

Left the outlet around 5pm and we went to "Outback" for dinner. OMG, I love outback. I've missed their steak for the longest time. I had my 8 oz prime rib (should've ordered 12 oz b/c I didn't get enough). Ava only ate the steamed broccoli and the bread. I must be honest about something. In all the crazyness of shopping .. I forgot to change Ava's diaper. I did Colin's, but forgot Ava's. Thus, it leaked to her pants. So, I changed her on the bench in the restaurant, and she put on her new pants.. hahahahahahaha

After we finished eating, we went to Target!!! Saw lots of things in Target, but afraid to buy too much b/c don't know how to declare them.. hahahaha, so we didn't (actually, I bought a dress and a legging). Then, off to home, with Colin crying in the background the whole way home.

AHHHHH Home Sweet Home.

WE GOT IT!!!

After lining up for 18 hours... We got the SPOT!!!! Ava will be starting preschool at the Rompers Preschool at Thompson CC on Sept. 2008, every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:45 to 10:45. I'm so glad. Poor Simon though b/c he had to sleep overnight on a bench (like a bum) in a cold cold night.

The weather was so nice today, we went to eat breakfast (brunch actually) to celebrate, then home for Ava and Colin for their naps. Simon didn't sleep. He continued to doing taxes for us.
After Ava woke up, we went to the playground with Sharon and Annabelle.

Then, we decided to have dinner together at this restaurant called "HAKKASAN". We didn't know it was a "fine dining". We felt so bad b/c of our "loud" babies. hahahaha.. The food was pretty good esp the pork hock. I like fatty food.. wahahahaha

Went home and rushed around to get ready for tomorrow b/c we're going to..................................

Playdate and Preschool

Woke up with nothing to do, so decided to go to the park with Ava and Colin after talking to my stalker. hehehe.. I brought the apple tart huilee baked the other day, and it was a hit. Everyone said it tasted good. I actually like this one compared to the apple pie. I think the pie is too sweet and the tart is perfect. Ava & Jeremy were playing together and had so much fun.

Went home and put Ava to nap, then I started to sort my toys. I forgot to take the pictures.. but it's A LOT of toys. :) Put everything in the car so I can distribute them ASAP.

Today is the day for Simon to go and line up for Ava's preschool registration at TCC. When I was talking to Sheila earlier, she told me that people started to camp out since yesterday for tomorrow's registration. SO SCARY. She's at no.30th in the line. I got so scared so we went to TCC after simon's work. There's already a guy lining up when we got there, which is good b/c that means we're no.2 for the 4 spots left. The guy in front of us brought a tent with him.. I should have taken a picture.. but again.. I forgot. I'll do that tomorrow I think.. :)

Went to TCC and Ava was playing there for awhile. While we're playing, this little boy take off his pants and peed on the pebbles in the play area. So funny. I saw his penis.. hahahahaha and so did Ava, and she covered her mouth with her hands and said "ewww". hahahahaha

Huilee took home a Cherry Clafoutie Pie.. hahahahaha Good.. :)

My toys arrived

My orders of discovery toys arrived today. Didn't get the chance to open them b/c Ava was awake. I'll have to do it tomorrow and have to inform everyone also. Tra-la-la-la....

Huilee brought home another of her class creations. Some leftover apple struddle (sp??), there're the swan puffs, eclairs, and some other puffs. Looks real good and tastes delicious.

Went to LD after Ava went to bed. Went in with the Avent manual breast pump, got around $78 bucks back.. Yoohoo!!!! Spent 25 bucks on snacks.. and went home... hehehehehe

Burnt Baby Burnt!!!

I was craving cake today, and remembered Candy baked a cake in the microwave using her tupperware, so I decided to bake one.
Long story short, I burnt the cake and also my heat n serve tupperware.
I don't know what to do, I'll have to let Candy know and see if I can get a replacement.

Huilee brought home some apple pies today. To be exact, 1 apple pie, 1 apple tart. They looked real good. I'm not a big apple pie person, but I tried a bite. It's not bad, but might be a bit too sweet for me.

Playdate at Lian

Went to Lian's for playdate this morning. Miles was really nice to Ava. I think they all had fun, even Colin.. hahahaha. I felt so bad b/c we basically wrecked Lian's family room with all the toys, books and puzzles.
We hope to do this again another time, either my place or Lian's.

I'm in Heaven

At last, my long awaiting massage. I went and got it today, at the Tao day spa, from a guy. Ok, I didn't know it's going to be a male massage therapist, but at that moment, i said, what the heck, I NEED it. He's pretty good. He said I'm VERY tense and tight, so he used this thing that vibrated on my back. I called it "meat tenderizer". I felt good after the massage. So good, that I booked another massage next week.. hahaha, no, not from him. I booked a Balinese jamu massage.
Can't wait.

I was tensed again though once I got home b/c Colin was crying and wanted me to hold him. So, there goes my dough. I need to really consider the next week massage, to see if it's worthed or not.

Family Portrait

Woke up and craved eggs, so went for breakfast at E-canteen. Then, we went to Minoru park. I wanted to take some family pictures, and had been planning for awhile. Since we're not really sure with our "skill", we figured we needed to try it first and see the outcome. I'll post the pictures in facebook instead of here b/c it's quite a lot and hopefully Simon will post in simonelly.com for those who don't have facebook. It was a pretty day. A little chilly but the sun was great. Ava had a blast b/c she saw ducks, rabbit, and squirrel. She just ran around chasing those poor animals.
After our "photo shoot", we went home and then Ava had her nappy nap.

When she woke up, we decided to go to the playground. After we got there, we realized it was cold.. hahahaha, so we went to visit Ava's little buddy, Eddie. They were playing the "huge" inflatable bouncer.

Ate sushi for dinner, and I think I ate too much. Felt like throwing up.. ugghhh

Stellaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Went to dimsum at the new Kirin at New Westminster. The restaurant is right beside the new casino (Starlight Casino). We met with Elisa-Desmon-Viola, Serene-Lucas, Sharon-Stefen-Annabelle. The restaurant's decor is really nice and the food was delicious. We had a birthday party to go afterwards, but the rest went to Elisa's house for playdate.

Drove back to Steveston CC for Stella's 1st birthday party. Ava was having a blast playing. She was better this time compared to Ronan's Birthday party last time. She mingled and played with all the toys. My camera was not working properly. All the pictures I took today were blurry. It was nice to see everyone. It felt kinda like a meetup, hahahahha.

Ava skipped her nap today b/c we didn't have much time with dimsum and the party. But at least she slept real well at night. Colin on the other hand, was not good. He was crying a lot at night, probably b/c he didn't get any good sleep at all during the day. Oh, well..

Nothing much

Nothing much going on today. Ava and Colin napped pretty good. Ava was not up until 3pm which was followed by Colin. Go figure!!

I just want to fill Friday b/c my stalker is kinda pushy.. hahahahahaha

Pre-School Battle

So I called SCC today to ask how many spot is left on their "Sunshine" class. They said "One spot left, but there're more spots in the french class". I asked "oh yeah? how many?". "Three". DANG!!
So, I quickly phoned TCC. When I went for their open house, they said to call on the 22nd. But, I just can't wait anymore. Guess what??? They also only have 1 spot left. So, I said to Simon, you have to go there and camp out!!!. He said, "what if there's already 1 person in front of me??" I was going to say, then you come back home, b/c what's the use.. But before I could say that.. he added, "I'll have to hit that guy and go before him".. hahahahaha.. All for AVA..

So, now, I'm in a panic mode, b/c seriously, what am I supposed to do??
I called the arts connection and left a message. Hopefully I'll hear back. In the meantime, I'll take a chill pill.

Discovery toys party at Brigit today. We found out that we only have 4 ppl (incl me and brigit). But we'll go ahead and have fun anyway. But, it turned out, we had 6 ppl. Brigit, myself, Candy, who brought Karen with her, Kristina, and I called Sharon to come out too with Annabelle.
It was a blast. We played some games with the cards I have. It was really fun. We all agreed that they were good drinking game, which will only get more and more fun with more drinks.. YOOHOO.. hahahaha
We did pretty good sales b/c Brigit also had 2 outside orders. She basically got her toys for free and even earned 8 bucks. hahahaha

I can't wait for more party. Didn't book any from Brigit's party, but I'm sure I can organize more in a month or so. :)

Alaskan King Crab

Yesterday we went to look at some townhouses for Huilee with Francis, our realtor. She didn't like the layout. Then, Francis took us out for dinner at "Empire Restaurant", the one beside the London Drugs at No.3 Rd. He ordered the Alaskan King Crab (almost 12 lbs), and some other dishes. The Crab was delicious. We ate so much and was so full. What a feast!!!!!

Ava learned to get her cereal using a pair of chopsticks. :)

Dairy Queen Adventure

Went to Dairy queen with Ming, Yan & Eddie. Ava ate fries and ice cream. I ate a chicken wrap, Simon ate a hotdog. It was fun. The chicken wrap was pretty tasty.. :)
Ava & Eddie started to walk (i.e. run) around the place and giggled loudly. So funny to watch them play. They are 1 year apart, but have basically known of each other since birth.
FUN FUN FUN.. :)

Day 8

We went to Herjit's house for playdate today. Ronan is so cute. Then, Christy & Jett came, followed by Becky, Griffin and Bella. All the kids were having so much fun playing. Us moms of course were just chitchat-ing away.. :) Herjit made this fab cookies. I love it.

We stayed until 11:30am b/c it's time to go back for lunch. I fried rice and then after we all ate, Ava napped. But she didn't really nap, she woke up in 1 hour and started to cry, which prompted cries from Colin.
We all then stayed in Ava's room and tidied up her closet.

After that we went downstair for TV. Ava felt asleep then, and her sleeping posture was so funny. I can't believe it, but I remember that was how I slept when I was little. Like mother like daughter. hehehehehe

Ava woke up with bad tantrums. She was just crying and asking for things which then I'll give her and she'd say "NO NO NO". Luckily Simon's back today.. YOOHOO.

Went to pick Simon up. Finally !!!!!!

Day 7

Woke up refresh today. Didn't hear Ava until 8am.. YOOHOO.. I guess yesterday's activities tire her pretty well. She was up an hour later than usual, that means 1 extra hour for me to sleep. Colin was awake a couple of times last night, but not as frequent, so I got some sleep also. YIPEE!!!

Went to E-canteen for breakfast and ordered some take out for lunch, then we went to do some grocery shopping with both Ava & Colin. I must say they were in their best behaviour. Didn't hear too many peeps from them. Ava was so tired with walking around that she fell asleep on our way home. Colin was very awake though. I've been trying to get him to nap for almost 2 hours and he's still very much awake as I type. hm....

Huilee baked Almond cake and muffins.

Day 6

Had migraine last night, and woke up at 1am with pounding head. So took 2 advils and tried to sleep. Colin has been waking up like every half an hour, I don't know for sure. I only know that I woke up A LOT of times. around 5-6 times a night. He can't seem to sleep well.

Huilee's graduation was today. I didn't go b/c I can't imagine the idea of bringing Ava and Colin with me. But the upside, all of us got a good nap today. I woke up feeling a little bit refresh.
Yan called and said they bought a play tent for Eddie and asked if Ava wanted to play. So I changed (finally) and took both Ava and Colin over to her house. It was so fun. It's a huge play tent where usually they were balls in there. She was jumping and jumping.. then she went and danced with Eddie. So funny.. :)

For dinner, we went to Hi Genki and met with Elisa, Desmon and Viola. Ava ate udon, and I ate beef ( I think..). She was having so much fun playing with Viola and Desmon after eating. She ate quite a lot. I was so deprived of sweet stuff that I ordered the Banana Tempura.. yipee.. :)
After dinner, Ava, Viola and Desmon went to play at the playground near their house. We stayed behind in the restaurant. After a little chitchat and some loud protest from Colin. We left.
Now.. I want to sleep good tonight.. hopefully..

Day 5

Day 5's here. Tracey and I went to Starbucks this morning. We saw Anne-Louise and the rest of the gang there. I felt a little bit guilty b/c Kerry was there with 2 babes, while I was only stopping by for coffee. hahaha.. But I must say I haven't felt so relax like this for the longest time. Ava was at home with Huilee and Jenny, and Colin was sleeping. So, it was a little break and I needed it.

Went to pinky blue and I got the thinkbaby's bottle for Ava & Colin. Ava wanted a puzzle board by Melissa & Doug, so I got it for her (it's not too expensive.. hehe). And, I have to thank Tracey for giving "Sophie the giraffe" to Colin. He loves it. He has been chewing and drooling on it. It's so funny to see him trying to put the feet into his mouth but can't b/c the feet was too long and they went up his nose instead. I had to "help" him a bit there.

Had lunch at Sushi House, and Ava was NOT good at all. She was crying and screaming and just behaving badly. I had to take her out to the car and give her a "talk" before we went back to the restaurant. I was so very embarrased. Sorry Tracey!!!

Tracey left around 2pm, then I went back home and tried to sleep, but can't. Facebook drew me in again. I'm so damn addicted to facebook.

All routine went well at night. Colin bathed, and Ava fed and bathed. Then, bedtime.
I should go too now. It's late. TTFN.

Tracey's Visit

Yeay.. Tracey was here this morning. I must say I got lost when I went to pick her up.. hehehehe, luckily she didn't wait too long (I hope..). We had lunch at E-Canteen and then went home. Put Ava to nap and tried to put Colin to nap, but he refused. He went down around 2pm. We watched "Wild Hogs" while they napped. It was so nice to relax and chat with Tracey.

Went to Ajisen Ramen for dinner. Ava was behaving so well and I got to eat with 2 hands.. after that we went to eat a type of chinese dessert.. Tofu pudding. hehehehe.. first time for Tracey.. You can tell from the pictures if she likes it or not.. :)
Rented "Dan in Real life". We watched it and had some carrots with epicure dip, a "holland tart" that we got from the bakery, and some bad red wine. hahahaha
Colin woke up at the end of the movie, we had to pause and then watched again after I managed to soothe him back to sleep.

Day 4

Again, Colin was up so many times last night. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm so tired....
& I lost my voice this morning. Now I can't talk...

Lunch @ Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver

It's Huilee's exam time, and we got to eat her and her classmates' cooking. She booked a time for me & Jenny for today at noon time. My neighbour, Mrs. Lam, helped watched Ava for me while I took Colin with me. Everyone basically got different menus. I believe there're 6 different teams so there're 6 different menus. Colin was crying the whole way from Richmond to Main St. Then, he stopped when we got there. So he was ok for a little while. Then, the bread came, and Colin started crying when I was eating my starters. So, up he went to my arms. The food looked soooo good. I haven't been to a fine restaurant for the longest time, so that means I haven't eaten beautiful looking food also. I was so excited.. now if only I don't have to hold a baby in one hand and eating with the other.

God, I'm so tired today. Didn't get any nap b/c I went out. Hopefully tonight will be better..
Tracey's coming tomorrow.. can't wait.
Day 3 DONE!!!
