Karaoke with the girls for my birthday

We went for Karaoke again today for my birthday. Sharon, Elisa, Serene and I went to K-fever this time and we started from 8pm. Elisa and Serene brought cupcakes for my cake and we were all singing and dancing and doing wild funny pictures. I didn't take any pictures but the pictures you'll be seeing here were from either Serene's or Elisa's cameras. I had so much fun.. We actually sang for a long long long time. We finally left around 1am. It was a delicious day. So much fun that I didn't want it to end. I was still fired up and didn't know that it was that "early" already.. I asked the girls where to next? hahahaha.. I think they probably thought I was crazy... :)
Thank you girls very very much for such a wonderful evening. We definitely should do it again. Don't mind what my husband said about "moms gone wild" or "who let the dogs out". We DEFINITELY have to do it again.. :)

Surprise BBQ

Huilee had organized this BBQ for hers and my birthday since we're only a couple of days apart. She invited some people and I didn't really know what it was about until everyone came. The Tansumas and the Fongs were invited. And Serene came with a present for me. I couldn't believe it but she got me a yoga mat towel (just want I wanted). I've been using a regular towel so far and it was ok, but it was quite slippery on some poses. I wanted to buy the mat towel, but i thought they were quite expensive. Thank you so much Serene. I was speechless.

The BBQ was fun because Simon got some filet mignon from M&M and also some other steak and also some spotted prawns (so so so sweet). Then, when we're loitering at the backyard and I showed the girls my camel pose. Edwin decided that it was an easy pose and he did it. He ACTUALLY DID it. It was pretty impressive. So we both did the same pose alongside. So funny.. :) After the BBQ, we got 2 cakes. One for HL and one for myself. So so nice people.. you guys shouldn't have. That day was amazing.. :) The cakes were delicious!!!!

Ava's giraffe's neck

Ava's loving her ballet class. She followed everything her teacher said to the tee. And I had to always suppress my laughter everytime I see her "giraffe's neck". She suddenly didn't have a neck. All good fun I guess.. as long as she has fun in the class, that's what matters.

Early Birthday Presents

I received a package today from my sister, weiwei. Inside the package was a yoga mat bag, some toys for the kids and a dressy dress for Ava. I felt that since I already received my birthday presents from my sisters, I'd just take pictures and show them here.

Happy Birthday Matthew

Matthew invited Ava and Colin to Science World for his birthday which was such a good timing because we've never brought Ava to Science World before (We also had never been). So, after my yoga, we went and arrived a little bit late. Kerry was doing the same thing like last time at Madelyn's birthday. Cash gift so they can divide and give to a charity of their choice. We saw Sheila, Patrick and Jeremy there. Then we started to explore SW. It was an eye opener. A lot of COOL stuff. I think we played more than the kids.. :) We had just as much fun as the kids, I should say.


The food was great also. I ate so much.. bad bad girl.. but I couldn't stop. They "Gan Chao Niu He" was soooo good. The kids fell asleep in the car on our way back home. So, Simon and I drove around looking at houses because they needed to find a good exterior for their "home project".


The kids demanded McDonald for dinner and that what they got. Colin actually finished his nuggets. He's getting better at eating by himself too.

The day Lims and Fongs bought a land

Simon and Edwin put an offer to a land at Diamond Rd. ... And they got it. It's a 7700 sq ft lot with the backyard facing the Dixon Park. They will take possession on August and will start tearing down the old house to build a million dollar house there. Wish you guys all the best of luck and happy partnership. Serene and I will be waiting for the revelation... Congratulations!!!!!

IHH # 7 ( Love Hate Relationship)

For a guy who always wanted many many kids, my husband is definitely not a good example to get what he wants. He only wants to play with them when he wants to, but would never be patient enough to take care of them. So basically, he only wants to taste the sweet but when gets to the bitter part, they're all mine.

He was off work around 4pm and then went out doing something. If he wanted to go and look at the "land" he likes, he should have gone then instead of coming home so soon, then slept on the couch and then when it's around 7pm, he decided he wants to go for a drive. HELLO???? I have yoga!!! I endured the whole day of tantrums and frustration only because I know at the end of the day, I get to go do some yoga and have some quality time for myself. Is that too much to ask??? He then went and said that then I should go and earn 70-80K before I can voice my opinion. OK!!! If it's not because of the kids.. i actually can earn much more than him. But to hear that spoken out like that just hurt... very hurtful.. He really thinks he can handle the kids himself??? No way.. he always got frustrated once they started throwing tantrums.. and now he's giving me this crap???? I mean seriously.. for all the people out there who's not married yet.. DON'T EVER GET MARRIED TO A MALAYSIAN CAVEMAN!!!!!

Tell me if I'm being unreasonable??? I've been watching the kids for the whole day.. and i only needed some time for myself at night.. and the kids sleep at 8pm. Is that too much to ask??? tell me.. come on.. tell me!!!!!! I'm dying to know if I'm unreasonable... do all the other dads out there don't take care of their kids after they come back from work????? tell me!!! b/c I can actually list out a bunch who do!!!!

If i go out the whole day and leave the kids to him.. yes he can say whatever he wants.. but NO.. I only leave the house on weekdays after putting the kids to bed... he only needs to take care of Ava such as putting her to bed and read and sing to her (his own doing.. I never did this and he went and added this routine). She's actually very good already because she will sleep or at least stay in bed. The only time he has to watch the kids is on weekend (he has no work mind you). I only go 7:30-9:30am. That's it. Is that too much to ask??? Did he really marry me so he can turn me into a maid?? say this kind of hurtful words to me?? not respecting me?? undermined my teaching to my kids by undoing all the goods I try to instill in them.

I'm so freaking tired living like this .. Some people who only see him occasionally probably didn't think he's like this and will probably think I'm exaggerating.. please.. I invite you to come and live with us for at least 2 months.. because it does take times for all his craps to surface. You'll see what I'm living with.. It's a miracle that I'm still sane. Sometimes i feel like I'm going insane..

The followings are some tips for all the unmarried women out there. Please make sure you ask these questions and do these tests before saying yes.
1. Take him to see a movie where all the women are oppressed. Such as those old chinese or japanese movies where the wife has to do the home chores on their hands and knees and ask him what he thinks of that. If he said, sure, that's what women should do. Please .. stay away from these guys. .. run to the opposite direction everytime you see him approaching..
2. Buy something that he uses everyday for him (such as toothpaste). If he said oh, I like this toothpaste.. Then.. after awhile, see if he will say the same thing when you buy that same brand for him, or will he say "what is this?? this tastes bad". Again, ladies.. stay away from this man.
3. Take him to mingle with your married friends with kids. If he plays well with the kids.. don't be too happy. Try to get him to babysit for the whole day and watch him from a nannycam. See if he's still "cool" or will he lose it.
4. Lastly.. you might want to be with this person for awhile before marrying him. Do not believe what the ex told you. She might be lying so that she can get rid of him ASAP.

Lastly.. for the other lady who might be following my footsteps after i die or disappear. Please get a marriage contract from him. Also, get a blood transfusion from him. He's only nice to blood related people. His sisters and daugther are always the nicest, but other people's daughter (me) are just for him to use as a feet mop. So it might be better for you (out there) to be his sister first ..then marry him.. b/c then you'll be related and he'll be nice to you. GOOD LUCK and STAY SANE!!

KARAOKE FEVER!!!!

I had been wanting to sing for these past few days. I used to sing a lot before kids and I found that I've been singing less and less after kids (I sing a lot of kids song.. but don't get me wrong.. they are just not the same).

So, I mentioned it to Sharon, Serene and Elisa. They were all INTO the idea.. so we decided to go to Karaoke.. I started to finding out which karaoke place we can go and the pricing. The "All You Can Sing" usually started around 2pm to 7pm. So, we finally decided to go to K-mix. They have their All you can sing from 1pm-7pm.

Simon was so gracious and kind to say that he'll take care of both kids (I was planning on bringing Ava with me). Edwin stayed in our house and he was also graciously saying he'd take care of Lucas and Linus. So Serene and I just hopped on the chance and LEFT. Sharon picked us up (Stephen was looking after Annabelle also) and we left for the place. Elisa would meet us there. We're all giddy with excitement... hahaha..

Then the madness started.. we're singing and dancing and taking pictures. We sang Mandarin songs, English songs and even Taiwanese songs.. hahaha.. We also ate some snacks. Then the husband met us next door at the "Chiffon Taiwanese Cuisine" for dinner. We left after 2 hours of nonstop singing and ate dinner next door.

We all went home around 7pm. My day was then closed by an hour of Hot Yoga. It was perfect!!!

Picnic @ Rocky Point Park

We went for a picnic at Rocky Point Park today with The Fongs, The Tansuma (minus Desmon), The Cheungs, and The Gothams. We got there early, so we're playing with the kids first. We like the park. The playground was nice and the view was absolutely beautiful.



We brought fruits (strawberry and watermelon) and Serene brought noodles and drinks, Elisa brought pasta, Lian brought sandwiches and Sharon brought buns. It was a great day for picnic. The weather was not too hot and we also had some breeze.


We ate and then the kids were playing with Edwin. We got to chill and hang out under the tree and chatted. But the highlights of the day was when Elisa suddenly yelled "Time out Edwin!! Time out!!!" Edwin had torn his pants while playing with kids. His bum's exposed.. HAHAHAHA.. (Sorry Serene.. didn't mean to laugh at your husband, but it was really really funny)


We left around 2pm and the kids fell asleep right away in the car. I was too because I went to bed around 1am last night b/c I was working hard updating my blog and then Colin woke me up at 4am (He went back to sleep and i couldn't since I have yoga in 2 hours). So I was exhausted. Simon apparently was sleepy too and since I was sleeping and noone talked to him. He said he slapped himself to keep himself awake (hehehehehe.. good slapping.. ).

What a day.. I saw that I got tanned (a bit burnt actually, my face was really red, and I can see different color skin tone on my arms). OUUCCHHH!!!!

FRIES!!!???

We went to Mcdonald for breakfast this morning per Ava's request. When we got in there and sat the kids down. Colin started saying something. At first I thought my ears heard wrong. But then I realized he just said "Fries". And he kept repeating it and pointing his finger to the leftover on the table behind us. I couldn't believe my ears. He KNOWS his fries. WOW!!!

Went to look at the house for mama. It's really nice and I liked the layout very much. But I didn't think I can make the decision to buy the house. I think mom has to see it herself. Anyways, after we got home and I asked Simon to calculate the mortgage, I think it's too much for them to pay. So, I decided that maybe it's better for them to look for a townhouse for now.

Had Sushi at Sushi House for dinner. Ava ate 2 unagi sushi and edamame. She kept saying she loves sushi. Colin ate a tamago sushi (just the rice though) and edamame. Not sure if he had enough or not. HAH!!Bad mom!!

Conversation with an imaginary baby

So.. here's the weirdest conversation I had with Ava's imaginary baby.
She held up a part of a tree next to my ear and then asked me to talk to "it".

Ok.. before I skipped over, the whole thing started while I was playing Chuzzle on my laptop and Ava's sitting beside my chair withe her "toy". Then, she started to say:
Ava: What's that baby?? You want to play jump and slide?? ok, let me show you..

Then, she started again:
Ava: What did you say baby?? (paused as if she's listening to what her "baby" said)
Came to me and said
Ava: Mama, baby said she wants to play jump and slide.. talk to her.. (she held up that thing next to my ear)

Me: err.. hi, baby.. yes?? oh.. Colin's sleeping now.. maybe later we'll play jump and slide ok?? Ava can talk to you now..

Ava: what's that baby?? ok.. later we play jump and slide.. you're tired now..

I was just pretending to play and listen to what she said.. man.. this is soooo weird but also sooo funny.. hahahahaha

Happy Mother's Day & Foot Massage

Serene, Edwin and the boys came today. Edwin had some business to talk to Simon about so Serene and I were at home with the kids. The men finally came back around 4 and we decided to go for a massage, just us girls. We went to this new place called the Water Cube. For the first time customer, they have a special $35/45 min foot massage. So, we decided to get that plus a 35 min head massage for 20 bucks.

We're so giddy with excitement. We took pictures in turn and chattered non-stop. So finally, we soaked our feet in some kind of herbal water before they started on our massage. Overall I think we had a good time.

After the massage, I took Serene to Harvest Moon Bakery for some delicious cakes. When we got home, Simon had cooked for the kids and also BBQ pork ribs for everyone. Yeay!!


Guilty pleasure at night.. the Chocolate Rum Cake.. yum yum...

BBQ at the Liangs

Went to our neighbour, Mr & Mrs. Liang, for BBQ. I did yoga with Elaine Liang, so she put on the yoga DVD and I was doing some pose when Miss Ava decided to come and join the fun. :)

Recap for the whole week

I have been quite lazy with my blog updates. So today it'll just be a recap of everything.

May1, Friday. Went to Herjit's house for a playdate. I LOVE her house. It looks soooo nice. Herjit and Evan made Salmon cake and i brought my stir fry udon. People attending were: Terri with Nicholas, Kathy with Ruby and Stella, and Sam with Ollie and Ava. It was such a fun morning. Ava had so much fun with Ronan and Colin had so much fun with the sandbox. He was pretty much covered from head to toe with sand. He also had some kind of incident with Ronan which caused him to cry out a bit but Ronan was actually crying and ran inside. My son is a bully.. man!!


At night we went to games night at Christy's house. Tracey organized this games night and It was mexican themed. I made chicken quesadillas, Tracey made nachos, Terry supplied the margarita. We played "drinking jenga" and it was so much fun. Terri tried very hard to get me drunk.. haha
I love playing games.. :) Can't wait for the next one..

May 2nd, saturday.
We went to Sheila's house for our Carribean Night. Simon made his spinach okra fish. Patrick made a lot of stuff ( I LOVE the black beans), and Sharon made BBQ steak. I brought MOJITO!!!
After dinner, we put on some reggae music and started our Limbo rock.. woohoo.. it was so funny to see everyone trying to go lower and lower.. :P
Jeremy and Ava were dancing together. They were playing together also and taking pictures together and kissing together ( what??? wait?? what??? kissing???? Jeremy has to take responsibility of Ava now.. HAHAHAHAHA)

Went home exhausted.
